Kalashnik0vv
Hey everybody! I have a little problem here. I have 4 gigs of DDR3 (1333 Mhz) Ram, but Geekbench, System Profiler and About this mac all show 4 GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM. Does this mean i cant use my DDR3 RAM? Someone a suggestion how to fix it? Sorry for my bad English, Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194408-ram-problem/ Share on other sites

vilpostus
It only shows 667 Mhz, but the RAM is working on the correct speed. The info desplayed in the system profiler is gathered from AppleSMBIOS. If AppleSMBIOS provides a wrong values, the vrong values are desplayed. So use another AppleSMBIOS or modify it manualy. Other option is to use a Chameleon+SMBIOS.plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194408-ram-problem/#findComment-1315500 Share on other sites
