Hi everyone,

Here's my current system:

AMD Athlon 64 x2 4000

MSI K9AGM2

ATI Radeon HD 4670

Sound and LAN are built-in on Mobo

So I wanted to install OS X, but all guides in the wiki for AMD need to have a Mac system already working in order to install it, which is not something I have, so I was wondering, could anyone help me with this?

Also, what exactly does Chameleon and PC EFI do?

Thanks!

Try SnowLeopard Universal distro. It works for AMD. No need for another OSX system.

Chameleon is a bootloader to boot your Leopard/SnowLeopard.

PCEFI is a EFI emulator making OSX feel that your system is a EFI system.

No you don't

I installed iAtkos v7 (10.5.7) on my machine and i have dual boot with Windows 7.

And it's not so painfully. :()

My configuration: MSI K9N NEO, AMD 64X2 4000+, ASUS X1550, 3GB RAM.

Good luck.

You mean Universal SnowOSX?

Ok, but when I install it, should I choose to install Chameleon or PC-EFI? I already have Win7 installed, any instructions out there to dual-boot with it?

Also, the sources for the DVD say that it is Intel Only?

And I'm seeing people saying this is not the 'proper' way to install Snow Leopard? What do they mean?

Thanks!
