VaalHala
I have the HD3300, which, is looking to turn out to never work. I have decided to just by a dedicated card, because I miss OS X badly, and want to try Snow Leopard. My main concern is compatability, what card would work out of the box? Which one is easiest to get working? I need something that can handle WoW, The Sims 3, and any other games that work on Macs, near or maxed out. My spending limit is about $100. Thanks. I can also go NVIDIA, I've had both and love them. lol Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/193929-best-high-end-ati-graphics-card-to-go-with/ Share on other sites

DeathByGuitar
HD4850 Agreed. It's a damn card, but dont make the same mistake I did by getting the Saphire 4850 dual-slot cooling DVI-HDMI-VGA. It's like pulling teeth to try and get it to work. Apparently all other 4850's are easier to get running Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/193929-best-high-end-ati-graphics-card-to-go-with/#findComment-1310165 Share on other sites
pigia76
I'm studying components to build up a hackintosh for dual booting OSX (ordinary use of PC and iphone programming) and Window$ (for playing). I'm planning to buy a Radeon HD 4870X2 ... anyone has info about it and snow leopard? Ever tried it?
