RN95
Hi, After 4 week of trying to boot SL 10.6, I have not managed to get pass the dreaded ACPIPlatform kernel Panic. I have googled and read every thread under the sun but in vain. It seems that I am missing something very basic as I keep stopping at the same point. I can't even get into Single user mode. I tried every installation method, patched DSDT, set permissions .... Also Turned off most Hardware - Tried most boot flags. It is driving me bonkers. My Spec: Dell M60 Processor: Intel 2Ghz Centrino (SSE2) Chipset : ICH4 (Tried Netkas and Legacy AppleIIX.., various patched Kexts etc..) Graphics: Nvidia Quadro Fx Go1000 - 128 MB Kernel: Qoopz snow Boot : Chameleon RC3 (658) (Tried PCEFI 10.5) I would really Appreciate some guidance as to what is causing this KP, or should I give up trying. Note that Leo 10.5.8 works perfectly on this Laptop. Many Thanks in Advance PS. I have attached twoo screens- Pic1: With Stck ApppleAPIC.kext and Pic 2: Legacy AppleAPIC.kext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/193580-kp-dreaded-acpiplatform-kp-at-boot-please-help/ Share on other sites
