Hackintosh as audio machine

Hi All

 

As Mac are often used in the pro world for all things musical I thought I'd stick this on here to see how other users are getting on, if/when they use their "macs" for audio apps etc.

 

As I've had some success that's made me very happy.

 

I've got a nearly fully working Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop (only thing not working is inbuilt - wireless)

 

Digidesign Mbox 2 with pro-tools 8 and Logic Studio 9 all fully working

 

Hackintosh version iATKOS v7 (10.5.7) Voodoo 9.7 Kernel

 

Spec

Core 2 Duo 1.66

2GB RAM

Nvidia 7300

 

So £200 got me a second hand laptop that performs like a slightly older macbook pro (dual booting with XP Pro)

 

Any other experiences out there?

 

1st post so let me know if I've been dumb and put this in the wrong place etc.
