DeathByGuitar Posted October 22, 2009 Share Posted October 22, 2009 I've got the dreaded 4850 with DVI, HDMI, and VGA and I'm running 10.5.8, and when I start the thing up it boots to the desktop, but the screen is in a strange checkered pattern. I read somewhere this has to do with framebuffers that need patching. I've tried ATY_init, Natit, the patched framebuffers and exotic framebuffers from #radeonhd, all to no avail. The dongle trick isnt really much of an option since im flat broke right now. Has anyone gotten this thing to work at all?
