It is likely they will ship with a special build of 10.6.1. We may have to wait until 10.6.2 (or extract the files from the special build of 10.6.1) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/193122-apple-now-support-socket-1156-chipsets-with-new-imac-release/#findComment-1304925 Share on other sites
OsxWade
That is awesome news, I just purchased a new 1156 board just awaiting for the remaining components to arrive. I know that several users have had success with this board. Take a look at the the p55 mobo page Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/193122-apple-now-support-socket-1156-chipsets-with-new-imac-release/#findComment-1304942 Share on other sites
MacWannaBe
Note that they don't ship till Nov. This implies 10.6.2 will have this support. Nice! Kuan_Yi_HK
Good to hear.... because I am looking forward to have a retail installation on my setup. I have installed Leopard with iDeneb, it's quite stable but i don't have any sound and have some reboot issues.. Also tried to install Snow Leopard but without success.
