bennyZen
I just want to reactivate this thread, to ask if someone could manage to get sleep fully working on ASUS K70io under SL? I still did not manage to get my DSDT 100% right. Maybe someone that got it right can attach its DSDT here? MimmoD360
got SnowLeopard 10.6.2 (nearly) fully working on ASUS K70io.only annoyance is scratchy sound. but i'm working on this. maybe someone gets it fixed and can post here the steps he took to fix it. ASUS K70io uses MCP79D chipsets from NVIDIA. i have attached my dsdt.aml extracted under linux and patched afterwards. i'm using the latest chameleon release to boot. you can use these kexts i have attached. my installation is working in 64bit mode. if you look for further kexts, use only kexts that run in 64bit mode. any improvements or corrections are welcome. good luck and cheers Hi, could you tall me how did you installed SnowLeopard 10.6.2 on that Notebook I just found about this project and i would like to give it a try but i'm a bit confuse Thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/192777-asus-k70io-snow-leopard/page/2/#findComment-1620392 Share on other sites

bennyZen
Ok, could you just tell me wich guide did you follow? Thanks for your help Sorry, I can't point you to any specific giude. Principally every giude for SL works just fine on that ASUS K70io, since you don't really need crucial modifications. Use one of the latest Chameleon-Releases to boot up and the kexts posted above in this thread and you should be up and running in no time.
