Hi,

I have recently bought a new Acer Revo R3600

Acer Aspire Revo R3600 Desktop PC (Intel Atom N230 1.6 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, Vista Home Premium)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Aspire-R3600-...p_ob_ce_title_0

I wonder whether I can turn it into a hackintosh?

Any instruction available for this net top?

Thanks

Hello !

I did try it with Leopard 10.5.5 some time ago, but it did not work.

Now i read that someone got the DualCore option (R3610) running with SL...

I think i will try it again, soon :)

Hi, i have just bought a R3610 do you remember where you saw it running SL?

thanks

I'm thinking of buying an R3610 as well. I'd like to hook it up to my HTPC. I tried with an Asus EB1006 but couldn't get audio out or video via HDMI. Video worked on my computer monitor using an HDMI to DVI converter, but not straight HDMI to my Onkyo receiver. Also want to connect an XBOX remote to it. Has anyone succesfully got any of this working with an R3610? Don't want to spend $300 on it and have to run Win7 or Linux.

-thanks

Thanks for the reply. I've been reading around the forum and yes it looks like nobody has been able to get sound over HDMI working for any device in OS X, but that's not a deal breaker for me. What about sound out of the analog/headphone jack on the R3601, does that work?

Has anyone tried the XBox remote with it?

Ultimately I want to run Plex with an XBox remote and be able to view HD Youtube & Hulu files as well. I heard the ION platform can display these fine, just wondering about performance under a hackintosh.

-thanks

You can't get sound from HDMI in OSX because OSX doesn't support HDMI just dvi and minidvi

It is just sound over HDMI osx dont support... it support video just fine...

today's macmini announcement made me think straight away that the revo audio issue should now be much easier to solve. people have been struggling with audio over hdmi in OSX since the days of tiger on the AppleTV.

i am not a super leet hacker, but am i right is this good news for the hackintosh community?
