is this what you meant?

 

While remaining in terminal, run the commands: sudo chown 0:0 /Volumes/"Snow Leopard Partition"/boot and sudo chmod 755 /Volumes/"Snow Leopard Partition"/boot replacing your paths as necessary

 

or this..

 

sudo –s

 

chown 0:0 /Volumes/Snow

No, just before you start your install, open Terminal, if your drive you're installing to is called SNOW, then cd /Volumes/SNOW, then type "chown 0:0 /" or type "chown 0:0" and drag the drive from the desktop to the Terminal.....(same thing)

The problem shown is usually the result of not Customizing the install. After you select the drive to install to there will be choices to "Customize", "Cancel" or "Install". Select Customize and deselect Additional Fonts, Printer drivers and Translations, then click Install.
