i605
my 9600gso(384mb) doesn't work in 10.6. Who can give me a driver or just some advice? Another problem. My 10.6 sometimes can start successfully, but sometimes it stoped at the gray screen. Does it because of the graphics card? Thanks! Hmmmm, sounds like you'll have to do some DSDT editing. I have a 9600GT and found the relevant string to add (replace) in my DSDT file. I have no idea about DSDT, but this wasn't too hard. Recompiled and voila 9600GT works! Do some searching, find the right string and edit your DSDT, use the search wisely and you should find everything you're looking for! I have already made a DSDT and my bios doesn't recover( i don't know if I used the correct word) any more. But I don't know how to add a string to my DSDT. I searched some information but I just don't know how to do it .it seems very complicated. I guess I can't do anything untill someone release a driver or something like that.Anyway,ThankU all the same. Here's to get you started: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...hp/t106156.html This guy got his card working on Leopard, snow leopard should be no different. He's put up a few links and info on how he got it working. It didn't seem to difficult... Also the graphics card string in the DSDT is very easy, it includes the name of the graphics card, so it is easy to identify the section, and is simply a case of decompile, open in your favorite text editor, paste, recompile. However, you may not even have to touch the DSDT with the drivers this guy used.
