guarino85
Hello world! I bought an original mini PCI-E airport card for testing if it works on my Acer 5633WLMi on Snow Leo 10.6 but i don't know which kext i have to install for make it working. I've tryied with io8211 from original apple snow leopard cd. It recognize the card but it's off and when i try to turn it on nothing happens. Have i missed some kext or have i to do something else? Thanks in advance. PS: maybe i've inverted cables on it (antenna cables?) but i don't know how to install them (i have 2 cables: one white and one black). So i've tryied in both modes (the one in a place and the other in other place and vice versa) but nothing. Giovanni

treamy
Hi, this i bought a Dell 1390 i think it is the same chip, isn´t it? It´s working great here. Check your cables and replug it again. What are not working on your 5633? On mine: - cardreader - Broadcom LAN - Battery - Trackpad I think thats all, but i´m only using Chameleon with a few kexts. guarino85
thankyou treamy for your reply! On mine trackpad works great, but lan doesn't work. About cardreader i don't know because i've not tryied. About my apple airport card i don't know if is an hardware problem (about connections of white and black antenna cables, but i've tryied in both modes) or is a kext problem. I don't know which kext i have to install (and how i have to delete to avoid conflict). In system menubar (next to clock) i can see airport icon which is OFF, like it's disabled but when i click on "Turn Airport ON" nothing appens... What about? Thanks! h@mid-vista
Hi Everybody I recently have installed snow leopard universal 10.6.2 on my laptop It detects my wireless card as an airport and request security key for WPA2 personal. Connection quality is excellent and antenna sign is full. Although I can enter to router setting by entering 192.168.1.1 in browser, no net connection is available!! There is no problem in Win 7 and wireless internet is perfect. I checked proxy setting and then I tried to disable firewall but no internet connection. Even with open security setting no net is available. My wireless AP is D-link 2640U and wireless card on my laptop is AR5B91 Laptop: Acer5738z
