Just did a fresh snow leopard install from:

And EVERYTHING is working perfect, except I cannot get the onboard ethernet to work. I know the guide says to purchase an additional card, but it looks like via google people have been getting it to just work out of the box. I'm stumped as to why mine isn't working.

Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking I maybe had to disable one of them since there are 2 onboard NICs, but not really sure what changes in OS X i should try to make.

Thanks! This is my first hackintosh since like 07 :thumbsup_anim:

Edit: I have switched to only 32-bit mode (verified via uname -a) and in the normal x86_64, both are failing unfortunately.

I have the same mobo. The Apple built-in Realtek driver can work, sorta. You may need to hack the DSDT. You won't have Bonjour.

I am working on an updated RealtekR1000 kext for Snow Leopard. Originally I was just going to touch up the Psystar sources to make it 64 bit safe... then I looked at the code and decided it needed a little more work than that... then I thought I'd merge it with the Realtek Linux drivers... then it became the project that ate my brain. :)

I'm using the new kext as I write this. It is not yet ready for general release. This is the first time I have mentioned it to anyone in the Hackintosh community. If you have a EP45-UD3P or similar Gigabyte mobo with the 8111/8168 family NICs, and you want to be a guinea pig... I mean alpha tester, PM me.
