Espionage724
Just wondering if it's possible. Lets say I just boot up with Chameleon. Would it be possible for SL to boot up without me needing any extensions changed in the main OS itself? And if that is possible, I should be able to install any update without breaking anything? My hardware is almost similar to a MacBook. nozz93
What I did was putting 9 needed extensions into /Extra/Extensions and it's running fine No need to modify /S/L/E Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/192203-possible-to-have-a-100-true-vanilla-snow-leopard/#findComment-1299211 Share on other sites
kmare
yes -- look up Munky's EFI method which is now supported via Chameleon, your install will be 100% vanilla and can be used on a genuine mac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/192203-possible-to-have-a-100-true-vanilla-snow-leopard/#findComment-1299231 Share on other sites
Espionage724
Yes that is what I was wondering. I wanted to leave all kexts alone in the System folder, but maybe add in specific kexts in maybe the /Extras/ folder. What about if I needed to disable a certain kext. Could I use the Disabler.kext to disable some system kexts?
