HP Pavilion DV 7 - EG 1996, here again^^

Hello,

 

first at all my English is not very good but I keep on learning it

 

Secondly and my problem, the HP Pavilion DV7-EG1196..

 

It has following specs:

 

-4GB RAM

-2x 320GB HDDs

-17" 1440x900 Pixel

-Core 2 Duo 2,26 Ghz, P8400 (maybe I'm wrong)

-North Bridge: Intel Cantiga PM45 [chipset]..

 

So do you know what I can do to get it working ?

 

I tried the last time with iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 Lite Edition... is it wrong ?

 

 

What should I try ? Want to install it because it is a great OS, if it works fluently and without freezes etc. I will buy the 10.6 Upgrade (should I just try with it ?)

How comes noone has any clue about this ?

I mean... this can't be true, I tested:

 

10.4.6

10.4.9 SSE 2 only

10.5.x (don't know which version)

10.5.2 iAktos V2

10.5.6 iPC 1.5

10.5.8 IDeneb V1.6

 

 

This is not funny oO

 

Problems I get:

 

- hangs endless (dvd inserted, booting from it, screen becomes black and it reboots)

 

- firewire not detected

 

- "dvd is not clean or damaged" (10.5.8 at last, I burned it 1x slowly and 1x fast, the fast one hangs on the "accept"-screen)..

 

 

What else could I try ? I had a 10.4.10 somewhere but can't find it at the moment and, of course, it should work with one of the others ?! I mean most of them worked on my desktop so they are burned correctly and should work!
