Artmuzz
Hi, At the moment I have 3 partitions on my hackintosh. One partition has Mac OSX Leopard, the other partition has Windows Vista SP1 and the last partition has Windows XP SP2. My question is would it be easy and possible to format the Windows XP partition with my Windows 7 disc and install Windows 7 on that partition without messing up the Darwin boot? Please advise Art Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/192037-will-installing-windows-7-with-osx-already-installed-on-hackintosh-mess-up-darwin-boot/ Share on other sites
Je3ff
I believe so. When you install Windows 7 it will replace the current boot files. kalel83
windows 7 would install its own bootloader, and set its partition as active, stealing the focus from where darwin bootloader would be would imagine you would have to set focus back, new to this so i'm not sure what program within osx86 to use. some of the distros have their own fdisk..
