Hello. I'm usually pretty stubborn about handling problems myself, but this is a tough one, so any help will be hugely appreciated.

I'm trying to install iDeneb 1.5.1 on my Acer Aspire 5520. Most people have problems getting the SATA HDD recognized, but I sorted that out by replacing the extensions.mkext in the ISO with a fixed one.

So after that, I managed to install the OS without a problem.. but haven't gotten a GUI yet. Single-user mode is working though.

When I install without any NVidia injectors, I get no video, but I can hear the OS-X introduction music through my USB-audio device, and I hear an accessibility-app for blind users that wants me to configure Mac OS settings etc etc. Additionally, when i tap the keyboard I hear the familiar Mac alert-sound, so it seems to be a fully functional OS-X boot, minus the display.

When I use any NV injectors (Tried NVDarwin, NVInject, NVInject GO,  NVKush), I don't hear any audio at all - it just hangs right at the point where the audio was kicking in before.

I feel like I'm so close to getting this working, so hopefully I don't have to figure out a whole different distro..

Anyone know how I might fix this? I think I'm proficient enough to try pretty much anything, and I have my hardware-id for my vid card (0x053310de). Not sure if this matters, but this is a shared-memory model.

Thanks for reading, doubly so if you can help out in any way :)

Try connecting an external monitor via DVI>D-SUB connector.

I would try this first, as well. If that doesn't work, it might be time to try a different build/ISO. Apparently Kalyway works on this model, but without wifi/ethernet/audio/CD-Drive working... But that person may not have chosen the correct kexts during installation or tried installing the correct ones after installation either, because the 5007EG definitely has working kexts floating around.

Maybe try that instead of iDeneb.
