USB Driver problem with Thinkpad T60 and iPC 10.5.6

Hi all,

 

I have iPC 10.5.6 installed in my Thinkpad t60 and upgraded to 10.5.8 later on.

 

From yesterday I found my T60 has problems with USB drivers.

 

 

For example, if a USB flash drive is plugged into my USB, nothing would happen unless restart the computer with flash drive on the USB port.

 

I do not remember this was a problem before. Please help me solve the problem, I do not want to restart computer every time to read my flash drives.

Need to make sure that the System.kext and the kernel you use are the same version. It was discussed there on the forum many times.

 

To check this, locate the System.kext in /System/Library/Extensions. Right click, "Get info". Check the version. If it is newer then the kernel version, install a newer kernel or install an older System.kext.

You are right about that!

 

My kernel is 9.8.0 while the System.kext is 9.6.0.

 

I want to download a system.kext version 9.8.0. However I can not find where to download after searching this forum as well as google.

 

Please give me a link for downloading that! I am not sure it is hardware based, I am using T60 by the way.
