Hi,

I'm trying to install iAtkos v7 on my Acer Travelmate 662LMi Notebook:

1.5 GHz Centrino Single Core

1504 MB RAM

32 MB Shared Mem 855 Intel GMA Graphics

So, I tried iAtkos v7 because this worked great for two of my desktop PCs. However, here I'm stuck on my Travelmate. I got into the installation menu and installed it without problems, using the standard kernel and/or the voodoo 970 kernel - installation worked for both.

However, I tried installing the standard kernel, the voodoo 9.5.0 and 9.7.0. The first one didn't even bring be to the kernel boot up (nb was continuously rebooting without giving me any error messages), but the second and third kernels start up. Both keep hanging here:

MAC Framework successfully initialized

using XXXX buffer headers and YYYY IO buffer headers

As the forums say, it might have something to do with the ACPI type of stuff, or with Firewire drivers. Well, I tried installing both fixxes provided on the DVD but they did not work. Then I removed all the IOFirewire* extensions from the extensions folder - no success :) .

Now I'm somewhat out of ideas. I'll post my full hardware info soon...

Regards
