I installed iATKOS v7 with Voodoo 9.5 on my PC and I got the following error screen while booting into installed system:

Voodoo 9.7 and Vanilla also don't work (with vanilla kernel, computer reboots before Apple logo appears).

Selected extra features:

  • Drivers / nVidia / EFI string for nVidia / VGA/DVI,
  • Drivers / System / SATA/IDE / Generic IDE,
  • Drivers / System / Intel Speedstep (tried with and without),
  • Drivers / System / CardBus driver (tried with and without),
  • Drivers / System / PS/2 / Voodoo PS/2 driver (for my keyboard),
  • Drivers / Network / Wired.

Hardware info:

img0716.th.jpg

  • Pentium 4 CPU (2.4GHz; Northwood; w/o HT; SSE2 only);
  • Gigabyte GA-8PE667 motherboard on Intel 845PE chipset;
  • IDE HDD;
  • GeForce 4 MX440.

PS. Sorry for my… m-m-m… not so good English, I hope you can understand me :)

Hi, I got it working with iAtkos v7 on the same chipset but an MSI board. Could you try to install it like I described here:

Regards

You have P4 CPU. This CPU is know NOT TO BE SUPPORTED BY Vanilla kernel. So don't even try installing it. Use ether voodoo970 or voodoo950.

On install. I'd suggest such selection of drivers/patches:

All kernels

Intel SATA/IDE

PS/2 driver of your choose

NTFS - 3G if you have Windows installed

Install no VGA/LAN/USB/CardBus drivers. It is better to install them later. Boot using -v voodoo950 flags.
