Skyfallkavu
Hello. Im having some major difficulties trying to get Snow Leopard installed on my P45A-S. I have BiTRiPs modded DSDT bios. All I need is a working, ready to go BootCD. I cant make one, since I only have access to a windows machine. If somebody could help me out that would be great. Ive been reading alot, but I have no idea what these DSDT.aml things are. Apparently its the bios mod that I had done but outside of the BIOS. If somebody can fill me in and if I need these would really help me out alot. If somebody could just build me a working Boot-132 CD that would be amazing. It would also be cool to hear from other P45A-S users on what CD they used, and what steps they took to get everything working. Heres my setup, tell me if you need more info. Intel P45 & ICH10R chipset Intel Core 2 Duo Q6600 Mushkin 1066MHz DDR2 RAM Multiple SATA and IDE hard drives, I know the SATA ones work but I would love it if the IDE ones worked as well. I think they are controlled by jMicron. One of the IDE drives is on an discrete PCI VT6421 controller. I also have an IDE DVD drive, BenQ DW-1650. ATI HD4850, 512MB. Nvidia Geforce 8600GTS. Realtek ALC888GR Realtek RTL8111B / RTL8111D I think thats all I need to tell you guys. I keep hearing something about PC-EFI strings for my video cards to work, I also have no idea what they mean by that too. Im totally not expecting both video cards to work. I think the 8600GTS would be easier to do since the 4850 requires some sort of boot.plist edits or something. I could totally use either one as a main. 4850 would be preferred though. I know this is asking alot, but I need some major help. Most things I try dont work very well. You guys are my last chance for this to work. I dont want to feel that I wasted money on a Snow Leopard DVD if this dosnt turn out well. Thanks so much. Skyfallkavu
I was working on it a bit, and I learned that I cant edit the .iso on windows without the boot flags messing up. If somebody on a mac could add the included files to the included .iso, I would love them forever. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8DGUDZP0 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/191404-foxconn-p45a-s-vanilla/#findComment-1295571 Share on other sites

angkung
I have successful install vanilla (in fact 8% more vanilla) SL10.6.2 with my DG31PR + C2D E7400 + NVIDIA 8400GS + SATA HD + SATA DVD. This is how: 1. I using hazard DVD ( you can Google at picktorrent and use torrent to download - there were good seed and peer there). 2. Put your SATA HD at SATA port0 - this is important since SL recognize it as disk1 3. Disable AUTO configure at BIOS advance>drive configuration; put SATA/IDE; and Legacy 4. Select below option at hazard SL installer ( don't choose any kernel since this board can support vanilla) a. Combo update 10.6.2 b. Chamaleon boot loader RC4 c. NVenabler d. VoodooHDA e. ElliotForceLegacyRTC f. SMBIOSResolver Note don't choose any unnecessary patch or kext, it will conflict Done; If you having problem on the high speed USB you can disable USB Legacy at BIOS Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/191404-foxconn-p45a-s-vanilla/#findComment-1485630 Share on other sites
