Hey guys,

Im trying to install KalyWay 10.5.2 on my pc.

When i boot from dvd it loads and i press F8 and select verbose mode.

Next it begins loading somethings.. and it just reboots the pc.

It keeps on doing it everytime..

Anyway i can fix this?

Thanks

ATI 4870 1GB

You need a different install disk with voodoo kernel included. Get it. Then boot with
-v busratio=20 cpus=1 mamxmem=2048

boot flags.

I see you set memory to 2048MB which is 2GB. Does that not give me downgrade on my performance since i have 4GB of memory?

Ok.. I did this and it worked fine on iPC 10.5.6.

When i finished installing and rebooted.. inserting the flags again.

It boots but becomes stuck at Still waiting for root device..

DasHuman.. Thanks for the reply.. i though already i've been left in the dark.

Anyways i kept on playing with my PC. and got OSX to boot with AHCI on.

So this chapter is closed.. OSX works fine! :(

About the memory problem.. i can boot without entering it.. and the only tag i need to boot is busratio=20.

Is there a way to automize this just like cpus=1?

Thanks!

Sure! Edit com.apple.Boot.plist using OSx86Tools. Add all the flags you need to "kernel flags" section.
