duderion
Hi guys, My setup: I have a Q9550 Processor and the ASUS P5QL-PRO Board, that "should" work flawlessly. I activated ACPI2.0, AHCI and disabled Executable Bit in the BIOS. I tried everything. the story: i bought the SL Retail disc today, inserted it and receive "Insert Proper Boot Disc and Press Return"....so the computer doesnt boot it at all. Ok. Then i tried several Boot Methods (132, superhai) and everytime i get the message: "Enter a 2 digit number (80,81...) to select boot device" (or similar) with 80, i see my harddrive partitions but i cannot figure out how to select the Retail Disc in order to boot it. 81,..,85, 90..95 doesnt bring anything I'm using SATA Drives for DVD and Harddrives (no IDE) anyone having ideas? i wanna pussy Thanks in advance duderino *BUMP**BUMP* Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/191224-cannot-boot-retail-snow-leopard-dvd-with-asus-p5ql-pro/ Share on other sites

This will let your SL disk boot. Good luck!
