Paul M
Ok so a few of you might of read my previous posts in this forum regarding my ATI mobility graphics card and its refusal to work in high res, even when using Callisto, i got use to the screen since it was not that bad anyway and apart from an ethernet port that sometimes refuzed to work everything was kinda groovy and working. But me being me i decided to go from 10.4.5 to 10.4.6, so i got hold of the HoTiso version of 10.4.6 and followed the on screen instructions to upgrade instead of a clean install, all goes well until it reboots when i get the grey square with the stop logo in the middle which i guess means it aint worked, even if i go for the fresh install after formatting the partition it locks up at the same point, so i have had to go back to my 10.4.5 which aint too bad i guess. Does anyone know of a way to upgrade successfully, maybe using Pacifist to unpack my 10.4.6 dvd. Or ride bareback and do a standard apple update to see what happens, has anyone managed to use apple updates without completley screwing up their installation.
