I have been trying to dual boot my acer aspire 5516 forever someone please help. I partitioned my 160 gb hard drive to 80gbs on Windows 7 and 80 gbs unallocated. I then load ideneb and get to the install menu then i am unable to see any hard drives. PLEASE HELP I AM GOING CRAZY!

Specs:

•1.6GHz AMD Athlon 64 TF-20 processor

•2GB DDR2 667 SDRAM

•160GB Hard Drive, DVD Super-Multi Drive

You have to partition the unallocated space in WIN7 first. Boot from the install DVD. From menu bar, click TOOL\ DISK UTILITY, then convert the empty partition into HFS+. Exit DISK UTILITY and back to installation, you will find the right place to install.

Ok, I did partion it in win 7. Do you mean I have to format it in win 7? If so what format do i use exFAT or ntfs? Please elaborate i am new at this. THANKS!!

in win7, create a new simple volume in the unallocated space, format it as ntfs, if you can't find it in the ideneb disk utility then go back to windows and format is as fat32. i don't know which one works if not both.

find the volume in disk utility and then erase it and format it as journaled for OS x and then install as usual

also can you send me a link to where you got ideneb or tell me how you got it to work. i can't make anything work on my tf-20.
