NeSuKuN
I have problems with some USB devices An USB-IDE case gets stuck sometimes when it's connected at boot time. My mp3 player with SD reader Doesn't unmount properly as when I unmount the internal flash, MacOSX disconnects the SD too (and vice-versa) without unmounting it (a warning message shows up) any clue how to solve this without disconecting the ide each reboot or writing only to one of the 2 memories of the mp3 player to keep the fs uncorrupted? OldSkoolGamer
What version did you install ? If you installed the JaS 10.4.6 DVD it could be the system.kext problem talked about elsewhere on this forum. On my laptop I have OSX on the 2nd partition which it doesn't like so I had to use pacifist to copy over the system.kext file in /system/library/extensions, repaired permissions & all was well afterwards, no more DMG/USB problems & my DVD Burner was recognized every time after reboot. OldSkoolGamer
Pacifist is a freely downloadable program from www.charlessoft.com. The kext would be located on the DVD in the essentials.pkg. Located at System/installation/libraries Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19106-usbdevices-mountingunmounting/#findComment-125285 Share on other sites
