acco Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009 Hi, i finally had my first hackintosh up un running, but not all is working as expected. In this installation i've used an old nVidia 8400, then installed the nvidia driver for my GTX 285. But with both video cards the system is unable todeterminate the monitor name and the system shows me only the 1024x768 resolution. How can i fix this?!? Thanks! nisi80 Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009 Hi acco, I got the same problem with my GeForce 9400 GT. I solved the problem using OSXTools and creating a custom string with my card. But before it works, I had to install SL with the correct card inside the machine (I changed the card after installation from ATI 3850 to nVidia 9400GT).
