richtig
The best method to fresh install SL on a blank hard drive (which hasn't been written yet, except maybe by Psystar, AFAIK): a revised boot132 CD, an 8 Gb USB flash drive, & the retail SL DVD. You'd boot the machine using the boot132 CD, which would then ask you to swap the boot132 disc for the retail Snow Leopard DVD. Then "restore" the complete retail Snow Leopard DVD to the 8 Gb USB flash drive & also (more or less automatically) write the needed machine-specific "Extras folder" info to the USB flash drive. Then empty out the optical drive & reboot the machine from the USB flash drive to actually install SL to the machine's blank HD. It might also be possible to use a blank dual-layer DVD on a 2nd DVD-RW drive instead of the 8 Gb USB flash drive. A "Live OSX" CD or DVD, similar to a "Live Ubuntu" CD, might be another approach to the problem. No idea whether anyone is working on such an install method yet.
