AcePlayer
Hello everybody, long time reader, first time poster. Anyway, I've been trying to get 10.5.6 working on my system, and I was able to install it fine, but when it reboots and I start it up for the first time (with -v -f), I get an odd error. It first says "Applenforceata configureTF pointers (0x5e0e600)" and stalls for a bit, then I get "IOKitwaitquiet() timed out wainting to write kernel symbols" and shortly after I get a black screen as it tries to start OS X, but it never loads. I've tried various things to fix this that I saw online, including setting all the drives except the hard drive in the bios from Auto to None, disabling firewire, unplugging all USB devices, and reinstalling OSx86 from the disc, but nothing has worked so far. Is there any solution to my problem? My specs are in my signature. Thanks, AcePlayer Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/190538-time-out-followed-by-black-screen/ Share on other sites
vilpostus
Could you post a photo of the verbose KP screen? Maybe it would be easier to understand the issue.
