Shamsu
Last night I updated my iDeneb 10.5.7 with iDeneb Combo update 10.5.8, but when i rebooted my system i am gettin: Still waiting for root device" error. So i downloaded IOATAFamily.kext for 10.5.8 and copied it to a pen drive. Booted the system with iDeneb Disc, opened terminal, by using "diskutil list" i saw that my pen drive was detected. So when i try to access the pendrive in /Volumes i get no such file or directory. vilpostus
Wrong syntax maybe? Format your pan drive to FAT naming it with a simple name, like usb or any other without a space in the name. Case is also important. In OS X "Name" isn't the same as "name", so be careful with syntax. If you prefer to use space in names, use \ before the space. e.g. cd /Volumes/usb\ disk This will change the current directory to Volumes>usb disk.
