If it is an USB keyboard, then check USB legacy mode in BIOS. There may be some warnings and errors. You may also check this info by using Applications>Utilities>Console>Show log list>Log files>System log. Scroll it and check if anything suspicious. Remember that it is not the Windows (meant to support various hardware), it is OS X (meant to support only the hardware any Mac has and nothing above that).
