Can I put leopard on my homebuilt computer?

I have an asrock 4coreDX90-VSTA http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=4CoreDX90-VSTA

Pentium D socket 775 3.0ghz

1 gb ddr ram

164gb hard drive

Nvidia 8800 gt

I currently have windows seven installed on a partition and I have another partition set up for Iatkos v7 leopard, which I attempted to install leopard on but I got still waiting for root device error. I'm not sure of which drivers or if I can even install leopard on the computer. I have not found my hardware while searching.

Thank you,

Well I managed to get Iatkos to boot. It was just a matter of customizing the drivers better than I had.

I've got two other questions now: 1. the darwin Chameleon boot loader automatically boots Leopard if I don't press any buttions(windows seven installed as well). Is there a way that I can get it to not load Leopard automattically and go directly to the selection screen?

2. I would assume I had a video driver issue (I'm not entirely sure). When ever I scroll down for example Safari, the text seems to jumble on top of other text making everything not readable and when I have, say iChat open and I want to move it. When I click and drag the program it almost all dissapears but a thin outside ring.

I have not installed any video drivers as a read it can get confusing if you mess it up. I believe the video card I have is an nVidia 8200 gt not a 8800.

The EFI strings worked thank you, Would there be a benefit for downloading other nVidia drivers?
If you have full QE/CI support and have no graphics artifacts, then there is no need to use an additional driver. EFI string is always better.

For the boot laoder try this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=160689
