Kingsbury
Hi and first thanks in advance for any help you can provide. So I am a total Noob to hackintosh and I own an Imac, I gave my PC to my girlfriends kid and I still have my HP Dv7-1245DX Laptop. The other day it took forever to load up a windows Update which automatically started then crashed the PC. So I figured I am done completely with PC and I wiped the drive and watched a video on Youtube on how to install Mac on your PC and tried to do it. Since the chip in my PC is an AMD I was told to change the kernel to Voodoo or Qoppz in order to get the Mac OS X to run. I tried to find tutorials on how to do this and was told at the boot screen to just type Voodoo or Qoppz and this would change the kernel. I did this and tried to boot the OS. This got me as far as the gray load screen with an apple and the computer stops loading. I am lost with what to do or how to do it so if anyone can help please let me know. Laptop Specs are as follows: AMD Turion Dual Core X2 RM-72 ATI HD3200 Graphics CHIPSET RS780M Thanks again - Kingsbury Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/189429-noob-to-installing-on-my-amd-laptop-need-help/ Share on other sites
