Sword7
Hello folks, I installed Chameleon 2.0 RC3 into 10.5.8 system (on 2nd drive). I tried to boot system but... It displayed shiny apple screen then I was asked to press restart or turn power off every time. However, it booted normally via GA-965P-DS3 boot123 CD. With -v option, I got kernel panic message about 'No HPETs available' in AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement module. Does anyone have any solution with that? How do I boot Mac OS X DVD from Chameleon 2.0 RC3? I tried to press F5 but it happened nothing. My system configuration: Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 mobo Intel CPU E6600 Core 2 Duo processor EVGA Nvidia 8800GTS 640MB video card Addonics Sil3132 eSATA card CatWeasel Mk4 floppy card Thanks, Sword7 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/189409-1058-chameleon-2rc3-no-hpets-available/ Share on other sites
skalogryz
With -v option, I got kernel panic message about 'No HPETs available' in AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement module. Does anyone have any solution with that? I have the very same problem! But, previously I had a single partition with Leopard 10.5 installed and everything worked fine. I've tried to reinstall with dual OSes (Snow (on the first) and Leopard (on the second)). Snow boots fine (but no network/sound drivers working), and Leopard refuses to boot with the problem described above.
