E-Chris
After installing iDeneb 10.5.8 my firewire 800 wasn't working. I've finally found that by removing Disabler.kext from the System/Library/Extensions/ folder that my firewire 800 drive mount just fine. Disabler.kext is still in my /Extra/Extensions folder, but doesn't seem to be causing a problem. Does anybody know why Disabler.kext would cause a problem with firewire 800 drives? My system seems to work fine without it, is there a reason I need it? biosucks
Do you mean IntelCPUPMDisabler.kext ? I can't find a "Disabler.kext ." My 10.5.8 freezes with FW devices hooked up (USB and eSATA work fine). Drives won't mount though Disc Utility finds them (but can't help mount them). So far, any problems after trashing the .kext?
