Tii09 Posted September 26, 2009 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Hey guys! Well, I put the installation DVD of a Retail DVD on my USB Stick! I followed the guide from lifehacker.com! Everything seems to be okay, but when I want to boot into the SL Setup, there comes a kernel panic! It tells me something with > SHOULD HAVE 2 THREADS, COULD ONLY FIND 3! Whatever that means , I hope someone can help me! I tried everything so far! My BIOS is modified on 2102, ACPI 2.0 enabled as well as S3! jasjeet Posted September 26, 2009 Share Posted September 26, 2009 try using the command -v cpus=1 -x I successfully booted it with a P5Q Deluxe 2102 bios modded and Q6600 Set only Intel Virtualisation tech and Enable Execute disable bit to Enabled. Put the rest of the CPU options to disabled. Put the rest of the CPU options to disabled. Bad news! I tried that but it didnt work either! Still the same kernel panic! It also tells me something with IOACPIFamily.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext! Maybe someone knows about that! HUR Posted October 6, 2009 Share Posted October 6, 2009 I have the same issue on intel dp35dp. Leo 10.5.8 works great just can't install Snow Leo. Were you able to fix the issue.
