monmon_4
I did a search but failed to pull up anything. For everyone that uses usenet and downloads .nbz files, what are people's favorite os x applications for the job? Currently I use Unison but it would be nice to have a client that could group .nbz files together or at least give me an ETA for the downloads. Unison is good but is definitely lacking in the features department. Thanks a lot. Henri II
For me that would be SABnzbd+ in combination with SABnzbdX, where + is the daemon itself including WEB-Server for configuration / monitoring and "X" is the small controlling application for the menu. Both working very smooth and reliable. HTH Henri Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188960-best-nbz-downloader/#findComment-1281234 Share on other sites
Dannydeman
Well, I can't get the X program to work. I have the latest SabNZB, but when I click the icon of the X app, it doesn't show up at all. Tried to reinstall it and stuff like that, nothing seems the work. This is on 10.5.7 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188960-best-nbz-downloader/#findComment-1281292 Share on other sites
Henri II
Well, the SABnzbX has no window to show and does not show in dock, its just a little icon in the menu bar. All I can say, that it works nice and easy here with 10.6.1, and I am using it since 10.5.2 Henri Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188960-best-nbz-downloader/#findComment-1281304 Share on other sites

d3t0x
I don't see anything about it being discontinued on it's web site.... Last update is version 1.4 - dated 5/9/09 http://www.asar.com/nzbdrop.html I don't think it's 64 bit but I have no issues when using SL 32 bit mode. I currently don't use 64 bit mode (audio issues) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188960-best-nbz-downloader/#findComment-1281519 Share on other sites

fhjsdlfhse
im not sure about .nbz files, nor do i know what they are, but Unison is by far the best usenet browser for os x out there. http://www.panic.com/unison/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188960-best-nbz-downloader/#findComment-1290033 Share on other sites
