vwbus
This is a new problem that is very annoying that didn't exist in Leopard. First the technical details. I'm running 10.6.1 Retail and anytime a system sound comes up there is a pop before it. I use some studio monitors for my speakers and quite often I forget that I have the volume up and when a sound is going to come I get a POP! that scares me right before I get the sound. Anyone else experience this phenomenon and what has anyone done to remedy it? zbarsky
Hi, I had the same experience using the method you described, with the EP35 DS3L. I gave up and bought a cheap USB audio dongle, which works real nice with no patching, hacks or extra kexts required. Burpethead
I have this motherboard with no problems when using the standard line-out jack. Try using my DSDT here: http://bit.ly/YWLo5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188751-speakers-popping/#findComment-1281291 Share on other sites
