sonofmickel
I somehow got Leopard 10.5 installed. No LAN or sound, using grub-dfe. I then installed Cjameleon-2.0-RC2-r640. Now it is just an endless loop. Board EP45-UD3l, 4 GB ram, GeForce 9400GT 512, generic Sata DVD. I have tried this for two straight days. sonofmickel
Sorry maam. I should have said that I had Leopard installed on one drive and SL on the second Sata drive using the method outlined for grub-dfe boot. When choosing the SL drive or the Leopard drive all I get is a silver apple screen and Apples churning activity icon. nickvandub
First of all i got the same board as you! for audio and eternet you may use efi string that works for me! in your folder labeled extra/Extensions you may put the following kext: Apple decrypt.kext dsmos.kext nullCPUPowerManagment.kext disabler.kext OpenHaltRestart.kext IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext SleepEnabler.kext PlataformUUID.kext VodooHDA.kext-for sound Fakesmc.kext LegacyHDA.kext JMicronata.kext---for ide devices ApplePS2Controller.kext AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext both for ps2 devices And RealtekR1000.kext for ethernet In extra folder put com.apple.boot.plist with video, ethernet and audio Use a dsdt.aml to fix the bios resetting and put it in the root of the disk With this it works the installation for me when you boot for first time you will have a kernel panic thats normal, when you get into sl go to preference pane spotlight in private put all your disks that is what a kp appears you have posted my kext and my dsdt.aml fixed. I hope this works for you like yorks for me kext_ud3l.zip dsdt.aml_with_cmos_fix.zip dsdt.aml_with_cmos_fix.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188581-ep45-ud3lfail-help/#findComment-1279155 Share on other sites
sonofmickel
Thanks, I will give it a go! an aside: how do I get the errors at boot copied. My computer is crashed at the point that I have a black screen with all the text mishaps on it. I am a noob! "In extra folder put com.apple.boot.plist with video, ethernet and audio" what does this mean? then: "Use a dsdt.aml to fix the bios resetting and put it in the root of the disk". There are two files you have links to. What do I do with them? Again, I am so sorry for being this obtuse. sonofmickel
No success, I do not know what the hell I am doing. I have SL installed and it will boot only with a Sl Boot DVD in the DVD player. If I do not have the Boot DVD in=no start. I am only getting 1024x768 for my graphics card. OSX86Tools_1.0.150 does not seem to be able to load Kext files. They are all greyed-out and non selectable. No Ethernet either. How do I get the machine to boot without a Boot Loader?
