nadeem.h Posted September 22, 2009 Share Posted September 22, 2009 Hi everyone (first post please dont get mad) Basically my problem is this: I have installed iatkos 10.5.5 before without much hassle but my sister decided to do a software update and it just killed my install, so i thought no worries, ill just download iatkos 7 and do a fresh install. I put the disc in, loads up normally, proceed to customisation and then press install, the disc starts to verify and POW!! it disappears like magic, and the log pops up before staying like that forever. I thought it was because the disc was faulty, so i burn another disc, same thing happens, i then thought that maybe iatkos 7 was the problem, i burn another iatkos 5 dvd and surprise surprise, iatkos 5 starts doing the same thing! Can anyone help me? For the meantime im stuck with kalyway 10.5.2 My Specs are: Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P (2004 model) Intel Pentium 4 2.8ghz prescott SSE3 Intel GMA900 910/915 (fully working QE/CI no mouse tearing, request for kexts and ill post them) ALC880 8-Channel (working but only 2 channel (green jack)) AdmTek983 (working with tulip) 512mb ram (lolable but is amazingly quite fast (boot up time 29 seconds)) Current installation Kalyway 10.5.2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188272-iatkos-installer-windows-disappears-please-help/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pay attention to Chipset driver, AppleSMBIOS, Power management kext desabler. Install no other drivers (LAN, VGA, Sound etc.) Yeah i tried that today, simply does the same thing, is there any reason why kalyway 10.5.2 works but iatkos doesnt anymore?
