Ehh, I'd tend to err on the side of caution and go with something a little more powerful.

Plus, this will give you some room to expand if you wish to further upgrade your GPU.

you're right...i did the newegg power supply calculator...with 6 gigs of DDR3 ram, 3 HDDs at 7200RPM....etc. and it said i need 600 watts. :(

Yeah, and those tend to be on the high side, same reason, I tend to be on the high side. What is your budget for the PSU?

i was hoping to be around $80 but it's looking like i have to take the plunge and pay $120 or so. i was looking at this one by cooler master. good price, great reviews, and certified 80 plus silver. which isn't common.

i'm up for suggestions.

The EarthWatts series are incredibly reliable, and energy efficient, but my only problem with it is the gray/silver casing Antec puts it in.

I've never personally used it, although I have seen several people using it and have heard nothing but positive remarks.

The OCZ StealthXStream series are relatively affordable, while offering the quality that one needs in a PSU. My only complaint with this unit is the length of the cables. Not that they're incredibly short, but they do require extensions for people with larger cases.

I've used this PSU personally in my last rig, and loved it. It worked perfectly and never gave me any issues.
