jasjeet
All my hardware is working, recognised in System Profiler, but i cannot achieve stability in 64 bit mode. Tests so far -v : All hardware recognised, Ethernet kext, AppleYukon2 requires unloading and reloading to ge internet. -v -f : All hardware recognised, KP at dekstop random errors within 10seconds of reaching desktop. -v -x32 : All hardware recognised, Ethernet kext, AppleYukon2 requires unloading and reloading to ge internet. -v -f -x32: All hardware recognised, everything works at boot. I therefore need the comands -v -f to get all hardware working at bootup, but this only works in 32 bit mode and in 64 bit mode it KP's at dekstop. I have tried repairing permissions with disk utility, and recreating the kext cache with Kext utility after booting 64bit with the comands -v. - No internet at boot, ethernet is recognised though. What could be the issue here? Gallus Longus
After some more testing, it seems its a "Warmd" problem When it kernel panics, it says BSD process: warmd What is it? 64Bit Mode is for the moment only for developing, take a look at apple.com. Also all macbooks / pro and desktops are booting in 32Bit. If you want to boot them in 64Bit you have to press "6" and "4" key. There is a lot of hardware, that doesn´t supportet in 64Bit right now. So, be happy with your 32Bit :-) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187942-kernal-panic-64bit-at-desktop/#findComment-1275860 Share on other sites
