xportz
I'm building a new desktop, and wondered which motherboad/CPU combos will work with both cores enabled and virtualization tech. enabled (for Parallels). I couldn't find any such info on the wiki. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. xenepp
Out of interest aberracus mate, your sig states you can't use two monitors, is that just down to your graphics card? I'm looking at the same sort of thing as xportz cpu wise, need to use dual displays though. munky
Im running an Intel D945GTPLR board with a Pentium D 920 - dual cores and virtualization fully supported. If you're buying hardware specifically looking for osx compatability, you're best going Intel. For dual displays, afaik the only solution is a mobo with GMA950 and buy an ADD2 card, which gives you a second DVI output. Have a look at Bofors' box thread in the genius bar.
