juju-tranki
Hello, I will be very pleased if someone could help me with this problem. I bought a realtek 8169SC chipset because my inborad VIARhine chipset car controller has bug (network drop). I have Asrock 4coredual vsta + core 2 duo + Sapphire 3850 AGP + 2G ram DDR2 + mac os 10.5.8 (upgrade from iatkos v5 to 10.5.8) I tried different ionetworkfamily (10.5.5 to 10.5.8) in combinaison with psycho driver , open sourceone, realtek driver and stock driver apple and all have the bug. When I tranfer files beetween osn and my nas server, my network drop after 10 sec (to 1 min depends of the driver I use). Of course the problem goes away with boot param cpus=1.... If Someone who have this card fully working could post me his ionetworkfamily.kext + the working driver I would be thanxfull ! Plz help me PS: He seems many people have no issue with this card, did they try with heavy network transfer ? I suppose they did... juju-tranki
Hi, I found a workaround ! Just remove AppleHPET.kext and now it works like a charm => greedy !! I will see if some app needs it I will retry with an older version. At this moment they will have to use RTC and don't {censored} me off lol ++ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187645-realtek-8169-drives-me-crazy/#findComment-1274346 Share on other sites

382jsl881
sorry, but buy an apple ethernet to usb device. I also tried several drivers, but none worked properly. Workaround, but only one cpu: boot with cpus=1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187645-realtek-8169-drives-me-crazy/#findComment-1275425 Share on other sites
juju-tranki
sorry, but buy an apple ethernet to usb device. I also tried several drivers, but none worked properly. Workaround, but only one cpu: boot with cpus=1 I bought one this morning and I have no drops anymore but I think the solution is here (in another post) : sudo su "Enter Password" echo net.link.ether.inet.apple_hwcksum_rx=0 >> /etc/sysctl.conf echo net.link.ether.inet.apple_hwcksum_tx=0 >> /etc/sysctl.conf After you reboot, you can verify the changes took effect with sysctl -A net.link | grep net.link.ether.inet.apple_hwcksum Both values should return 0 If it's works I'm ... Tell me if it's works for u Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187645-realtek-8169-drives-me-crazy/#findComment-1275594 Share on other sites
