damon_sisk
I installed ""iATKOS v1.0i Version 10.5.1 by OSX86 Turk team." (Info found under 'About this mac'). Ever since running the installer, the mac mouse pointer jumps from point to point attached to an invisible grid. Many times I can't click on a link or a button because the pointer will only go above or below the item. I can eventually get to the button or link to click it, but I have to move the mouse quickly in one direction, then slowly in the other direction (taking advantage of mouse acceleration obviously to change the grid snap point locations). That's why I said the grid is slightly adjustable. Also, if I adjust the mouse 'Tracking Speed' in system preferences to 'fast' snap points (the points that the mouse will move to) are about an inch apart on my screen! I just counted and there are only 29 discrete horizontal points on the screen where the pointer can be located! On 'slow' tracking speed there is still a grid, it is just spaced closely. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it? I am sure this is a different problem than the common mouse acceleration problem I've found in the forums. Thanks in advance for any help! vilpostus
Do you have a Hardware VGA support? e.g. what is written in About this Mac>More Info>Graphics and Display>Core Image? If it's Software or Quartz Extreme "not supported", then you don't have a proper VGA driver installed. Therefore mouse can act weird. If you do have a proper VGA driver installed, then it is driver related problem. If a PS2 mouse/keyboard (build-in keyboard and touchpad on laptops) is used, then you probably need a different PS2 driver e.g. VoodooPS2Controller or any other. damon_sisk
I do not have hardware VGA support, it says 'Software' and also says 'Not supported'. I'll try to find a proper driver. I'll report on my results...
