I know this is a stretch but here it goes anyhow. Thanks to all of these posts, I have my less than standard server box running SL Vanilla beautifully. The only thing I don't have is network capabilities. My motherboard (see below) uses the Intel 82576 ethernet controller and I can't find any way of getting it to work. I know it has a crazy amount of features and it's pretty rare in this community but I figured I'd give it a shot. Any ideas?

Intel has drivers for every operating system on their site. Also OS X already has built in drivers for the 82574L controller (Tried putting my deviceid in this driver, no go) I don't know if it could be modified to support my controller...

Hardware:

CPU: e5520 2.33GHz x2

MB: Supermicro X8DTU-F (needed this mobo to squeeze a slightly modified 2 slot gfx card into a 1u server case...)

Mem: 12GB Mushkin 1066 ddr3

GFX: HIS H487QT1GP Radeon HD 4870 1GB

3 Cheers for more nice supermicro gear!

X8DTH-6F here.

Onboard 82576 as well... no go yet.

Using a PCIe x4 82571EB dualport card, although tonight I also got an 82574L PCIe x1 card working. (few mods needed in the kext)

Mushi-shi and a few others also need working 82576 support...

Maybe if we put our heads together, we can get something working, or beg someone to compile one up for us, heh.
