I am trying to install OSX86 on my custom computer and I keep getting errors every time I try to install. Here are the specs:

Mobo: Asus M3N72-D

Chipset: nVidia 750a SLI

CPU: AMD Phenom II 940 BE @ 3Ghz

GPU: PNY GeForce 9800 GTX+

PS: Corsair 750TX

RAM: 4GB of OCZ Fatal1ty Edition

HD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 640gb 7200RPM

Whenever I install when watching in verbose mode the installation will pause after:

USBF: (###) AppleUSBHOC(######)::CheckSleepCapability -Controller will be unloaded across sleep.

USBF: (###) AppleUSBHOC(######)::CheckSleepCapability -Controller will be unloaded across sleep.

USBF: (###) AppleUSBHOC(######)::CheckSleepCapability -Controller will be unloaded across sleep.

USBF: (###) AppleUSBHOC(######)::CheckSleepCapability -Controller will be unloaded across sleep.

And then it will say "Still waiting for root device" forever on after that at a few minute intervals.

As of now I am just testing whether or not the installation will work in the first place, I dont actually have a location to install the OS, because I dont want to have to format my hard drive now that has my Windows XP and Windows 7, so I am waiting on whether or not I will even be able to install it until I order another HD or an External HD. So if you know for sure this installation will never work on my machine just say and I will gladly abort but I would really love to be able to run OSX on my machine!!! (Oh and if anyone has any suggestions on upgrading to Snow Leopard after the 10.5.6 install input is appreciated!)

If anyone could help it would be amazingly appreciated!!

I tried it, sorry didnt help. I have no idea how to do this. I will use ANY build people just give me anything please i would really love to have this installed. I would really need some help picking the drivers and options i should chose too so if you could please be specific

can you remember the choices you made in customization and list them,

How are you testing this as, as far as i am aware you need the partition for the install as this is not a live cd so the only way is to create the partition and install, you only need a small partition say 10-15 gig,

i believe there is an ACPI option, should I use that instead? and do i technically need a partition in the first place if i just want to make sure it installs? because if i can get to the installation screen then i will probably buy an external hard drive, because i dont want to erase my hard drive to to make room for OSX.

thank you so much, i am going to pull up this site on my itouch and try out the bootloader so i can respond if anything goes wrong. I guess i will use the "platform=ACPI" flag first because i dont have a partition set up, but if that doesnt work my guess for the RD flag would be "rd=disk0s1"

in my bios i was able to set sata type as IDE, so i imagine that to encompass my DVD drive also, and that didnt help. I tried all of the rd flags and all of the platform flags but still every time i end up getting the same error as i had in the beggining, the:

USBF: (###) AppleUSBHOC(######)::CheckSleepCapability -Controller will be unloaded across sleep.

USBF: (###) AppleUSBHOC(######)::CheckSleepCapability -Controller will be unloaded across sleep.

USBF: (###) AppleUSBHOC(######)::CheckSleepCapability -Controller will be unloaded across sleep.

USBF: (###) AppleUSBHOC(######)::CheckSleepCapability -Controller will be unloaded across sleep.

and then "still waiting for root device on and on"

I really have no idea why it is doing this

Yes i know, you are the only person that is atleast trying to make an effort to help, and i thank you greatly for that. I will try using macdrive or my friends mac to format the flash drive first, and see if that works. I will get back to you ASAP with the results, I might be able to get the macdrive option done tonight. Thanks so much again
