holden caulfield
Greetings- I searched the forum and the wiki - - but I have a few more questions for anyone who uses Filemaker on a Mac. Is it just as fast on Mac as it is with Windows PC? Is there a difference in performance with an Intel Mac v. PPC Mac? Also, if any of you who use Filemaker know where I could find some good tutorials, please let me know. Thanks to all - Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18706-filemaker/ Share on other sites
XanthraX
If you install filemaker (even the tryout version) you will find in the main filemaker folder two .pdf files: manual and getting started. autoy
I use Filemaker both in Windows and Mac. For the mac it's still PPC, so it runs in Rosetta and you will get a performance hit there. However it runs fairly well, comparable to something like Office 2004 under Rosseta, so it's ok for basic and most common usages. All in all, if you compare right now performance in both win and mac platforms, windows wins. But that's not to say it's unusable in macs. Filemaker unibin should not be very far away either.
