lady_bunny Posted May 31, 2006 Share Posted May 31, 2006 My bf just recently put MAC OS X86 on my computer & now i can't seem to upload photos anymore. The camera ( HP Photosmart E317 digital camera) only came with Windows software & when i plug it into my MAC, nothing happens. What should I do? Callysto Posted May 31, 2006 Share Posted May 31, 2006 Not all digital cameras are supported unfortunately, I had a samsung camera that just refused to be "seen" by the OS. On the other hand I have a Nikon and it works a treat and shows up as a disc drive and is recognised by iPhoto also. Some cameras have the ability to be switched from PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) to Mass Storage (the Nikon certainly does). This may be the case for you? If you intend keeping OS X and use SD storage etc. you could investigate a multi card reader, they are relatively cheap.
