sbmrail Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Hello, I am able to install Iatkos v7 with the fallowing items working: Video 8700M GT Works with NVdarwin Installer 1.2.5 (Running at full resolution 1900x1400) Audio Works with Setup Audio Options Internal NIC works with NO drivers loaded (Broadcom 5751 GIG Ethernet internface) Internal Wireless Nic works with choosing the BCM 44 driver during startup Front Buttons work Internal Camera works (no specific drivers installed) Bluetooth Works (No Specific drivers installed) What does not work is: Shutdown after installing Video Drivers it will no longer shutdown completely. Sleep Does not work at all screen freezes Reboot same isssue as shutdown. Fan For CPU & GPU runs very rare system over all runs hot! tried the I8kfanGUI does not control the fans the kext file does not seam to be loading. Anyone able to get this to work on the XPS M1730? The System has been updated to 10.5.8 using the Apple Update and worked with no problems. I currently have installed: Ilife09 Microsoft MAC Office 08 I have used it for over a month and have had no issues! I have done a test install of a MAC OSX 10.6 Retail Disk with a boot loader but I can't get any video drivers to work. It will not come up fully it loads OSX but is very slow.... Anyone have any feed back on there test please let me know... Do you have your sound card and mouse/kb working properly?
